1. Safeguard Senior Skin
The skin on your face is the thinnest on the body and the older the skin, the thinner and drier it can be. It will need extra protection and moisture, especially in the harsh winter months, so moisturise frequently and avoid harsh toners.
2. Be Alert to Betacarotene
Betacarotene, a powerful anti-ageing antioxidant, is a pigment in yellow and red fresh foods that the body converts to vitamin A to generate new cells. Get your dose from apricots, peaches, nectarines, sweet potatoes, carrots and leafy greens.
3. Seek Out Selenium
Fish, red meat, chicken, grains and eggs contain selenium, an antioxidant which works with vitamin E against pollutants to combat skin ageing and cancer. Healthy sources include oil rich nuts, seeds and avocados.
