Review: Miners Eye Shades Eye Shadow Stick

Hello Beauties!!! xD

I bought these two eye shadow sticks quite a while ago, and they have lasted me as i would use them quite often.

The colours are; Sky on top and Californian Lilac

Swatches

Sky is on the left and Californian Lilac is on the right!

So Where can I buy them and How much are they?
You can buy them from the Miners site and on there they are priced at £3.49 each
However, i did not buy them from their website, i got mines from a local drugstore (Y)

What is the packaging like?
It is in a black, sleek pen shape. The lid stays on nice and securly which is good because i hate make up lids coming off and the product going all over my make up bag. I also like how on the end they have a clear piece that shows the colour which comes in really handy. However, the colour name is written in very small writing. The writing is also in a nice girly, attractive font (or so I think so lol) And can easily go in you handbag.

How do you apply it?
This is a big plus with this product. You dont need to stick your fingers in any pots or use a brush. Because of its handy design, being in a pen/stick format it makes applying sooo simple. so if your looking for a quick colour on the eyelid you can just sweep this on quickly going out of the door without having to worry about dirty fingers or brushes.

What is the product formulation like?
This product is nice and soft and smooth to apply. With great pigmentation, as you can see from the swatches. This product would also be great for people who have dry lids. It is a little glittery, its not chunky glitter, its more of a shimmer which I think looks great. I only wished I had of tried some more different shades.

What would you rate it out of 10 and would you repurchase?
I would most defiantly rate it 10/10 as it helps to give me colour to my eyes even when i cant be bothered to do eyeshadow and have to get out brushes etc. It's simple and it's fast. I would repurchase it, I would love to try different shades and anything else from the Miners range.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

If you haven't noticed, I have sort of changed the way I do a review. Whereas before I listed the pros and cons (which I still might do) but I have decided to do a Q&A to make it a little different and hopefully that way you will have gained a little more information on the product!

And before I go I just want to say a big thank you to my followers on here and on twitter it means alot! So thank you everyone!!!! If you haven't followed to me yet pleaseee do, its free and it would mean the world to me! :)

Also leave any requests or any tips for me to improve :)

Anyway, before I ramble on anymore thanks for reading and I hope you found this review somewhat helpful!!! And If you have tried anything from the Miners range please let me know what you thought!

Asda Haul!!!

Well I've made another trip to ASDA!!
I've become like addicted to buying from the George range! I just love it!

Firstly, I got a pair of 3/4 Denim Jeggings. Since I already am obsessed Jeggings, I thought with the weather getting warmer it would be nicer to wear 3/4. And these were £8.

Next I got some trainer/plimsolls/flats/pumps (I dont know what the correct name for them is, lol)
They sell them in a variety of colours - pink, green, white and grey and propbably other colours that I cant remember lol
I got them in the grey, simply because they actually had my size in them and they will go with everything, making a change from black! And theses were £6.
I know you can get ones from Primark at £2 and £4, but I much prefer these as they are a better fit and have better grip on them.

And on the inside there is a lovely floral sole and grey and white stripes round the edge. Which is very pretty! And they were only £2!

Next I got a pack of two super cute Butterfly hair grips/clips. And they were £2. They look really shiny and can glam up any boring hair-do.

And finally I got two pairs of super cute earrings, and they were £1 each! And they will go with almost everthing.

Thanks for reading!!

Review : Lashed Up mascara

Hello girlies!!!

Well I bought this mascara (along with an eyeliner) one day when I had ran out. lol
It was just a cheaper so I wasnt expecting much.
The eyeliner has become one of my favourites, lasts all day. It doesnt claim that it lasts all day but it does. and it doesnt smudge.
After having used the eyeliner I had some higher hopes for the mascara, but it was a slight let down. It does not and much thickness or length but defines lashes leaving them lovely and fluttery. The wand (brush) applicator is great so I think the formulation lacks.
Overall a good cheap product. I would defiantly re-purchase for the eyeliner.

Review: Rimmel London Colour Mousse EyeShadow

I love love love this eyeshadow!!!
It has a great colour payoff.
In the light its has different colours reflecting in it. And its not glittery (just a little shimmer)! :)
And best of all It actually does what it says and lasts 8hrs (Y) which is great.
I got this a year or so ago and it hasnt dried out, I only wish I had of tried other colours.
Overall I am very pleased with this, and defiantly recommend it to anyone.

So if you have any questions or requests please feel free to leave a comment.

EOTD!! 28/06/10

Well lovelies, Its another EOTD!
And today I felt like doing a nice, simple, green look!

Products used:
I used Rimmel London's mousse eyeshadow in 004 Splash - which makes for a great base on the eye lid and it really does last all day.

I then used Rimmel Londons Eyeshadow in cool mint on the eye lid.

I then used the white out of my Saffron London Eyeshadow Palette. And I used this to soften and blend out the colour at the edge of the lid.

I used my Rimmel London Volume flash mascara.
And my No7 eyeliner.
and that completes the eye makeup!!

thanks for reading girlies!!

Review: Revlon ColorStay Foundation!

Hello lovlies!!

Well, I have never used a liquid foundation before, until I started to get fed up with my old foundation (MaxFactor Pan Stik) I finally made the plunge and changed to this foundation. I had heard soo many good reviews about it and it came really recommended.

I got it in number 150 Buff for Combination/Oily Skin. Its a 30ml bottle.
I bought this in Superdrug for £11.99.

Of course with any product it does have its pros and cons.

Pros:

It has SPF 6 - which is great if we are going to have great weather over the summer.

I can have very oily skin and so it lasts all day.

Smooth application.

Nice matte finish.

Cons:

The bottle does not have a pump - maybe its just because I am not used to it lol.

It costs over double the price my old foundation did.

I was disappointed as the coverage was not as good as I expected. (Perhaps I should use a concealer, any reccomendations?)

Overall I am happy with it, and so far it hasnt broken my skin out, so fingers crossed it continues to go well. It lasts all day and that is a major plus for me.

So have you tried this foundation? Any application tips?

Has anyone used the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment?

So I was wondering if anyone has tried Lee Stafford's Hair Growth Treatment? It claims to be for 'Hair that doesnt grown past a certain length'. And that most certainly is my hair. lol

Review: Saffron London Eye Shadow Palette

I just love this palette, and ever since I got it last Christmas it's been what I have been grabbing to do my make up for a night out!

Pros:
  • Very good pigmentation, you don't need a base.
  • A good range of colours that will suite everyone, especially on a night out.
  • The glitter is not chunky.
  • Has a handy little mirror inside.
  • Nice packaging.
  • It is not tested on animals. Which is great! yay!

Cons:
  • Quite a bit of fallout.
  • Might be too glittery for some people.

Swatches!!

Note: this is without a base! so great pigmentation!! yeehaaa!

EOTD 27/06/10

Well its another eye make up of the day!!!
And today I wanted to keep it simple, with light pink.

For this look used my Saffron London palette (which I will be doing a review on). First of all i applied a pink cream eyeshadow as a primer, although its not really needed for the eye shadows I'm about to use. I used the 2 pinky colours in the palette, applying the light one all over the lid and the darker one in the crease.
I then used No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil eyeliner and applied some mascara, and the one I used is Lashed up.

Products used will be reviewed!
Any questions or requests please ask!

Want a brighter, whiter smile?

Heloo people!! xD
We all want that perfect white smile, well atleast I do anyway. However Im not prepared to fork out alot of money to do so.
So when I stumbled across 'Pearl Drops' in Poundland I thought theyd be worth a go! Sure it was only a quid, what could be the harm. Before I used this product I thought it 'wouldn't be up to much' since it was only a pound. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with the great results!

Its a 50ml bottle which is reasonable. And I got it in the Spearmint Flavour.

I have been using the Pearl drops for over two weeks now and I already have noticed a big difference. I love the spearmint flavour and its really refreshing. It leaves your teeth feeling very clean. and I love that lol

If you would like to see before and after pictures, please let me know in the comments!

speak to you all soon!
